Important Alert - Emerald Ash Borer

The devastation the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has done to urban ash trees in midwest and eastern states is staggering. Unfortunately, the EAB was found in Boulder County last year. A landscape with mature trees is worth between 5-10 percent of your home value. If you have mature ash trees in your yard, it is time to get informed on how to treat your trees for this tree insect. To keep up with EAB developments, click the follow resources.

The DLC Arbor Advantage

You can rest assured we know trees and all the variables affecting their health – we bring over 30 years of deep understanding and professional expertise. Simply put, we love trees!

Did you know?

  • Locally owned and operated since 1980 - Mike Naes owns DLC Arbor Services, a company he started right after graduating from CSU 30 years ago. Mike’s company is still going strong.
  • Licensed and insured arbor services company - Licensing is proof that your contractor meets industry training standards (think about how long a branch takes to grow back if an unskilled contractor lops it off by mistake). In addition, allowing an unlicensed contractor to work at your home puts the homeowner at financial risk if there is an accident.
  • Providing value through knowledge, experience, and trust - Commitment to fair and competitive pricing while providing consistent results in high customer satisfaction. You can check us out on the Better Business Bureau, where we’ve earned an A+ Accredited status, Angie’s List™, Team Dave Logan and Yelp

Residential arbor services

Did you know that losing a prominent tree at your residence not only diminishes your enjoyment of your landscape but can reduce property values 5 to 15 percent. Your trees need seasonal maintenance to protect them from Denver’s erratic weather and to increase the curb appeal of your property. Here’s a list of the tree services you’ll find with us:

Tree Trimming and Pruning
Tree Removal
Stump Grinding and Stump Removal
Tree Evaluation
Insect and Pest Control

Commercial tree services

DLC Arbor has provided commercial tree trimming and tree removal services to HOA and property management companies in Denver since 1980. We even helped develop a software called Useful Systems to manage our commercial and residential operations. Useful Systems schedules customer appointments and manages all crew management, work orders and billing using the Apple iPhone and iPad platforms. The software handles all quotations, work orders, and billing in the cloud. All paperwork is eliminated—saving trees.

Horse Chestnut Trees

Horse chestnut trees attract the attention of kids because they either step on the spiked chestnut seedpods barefooted or they collect the shiny brown seeds. The horse chestnut is a beautiful shade tree that would be a great addition to any yard in Denver.
